Oh Gabriel
While you sleep in your nest of sin
How will you manage to smile?
When the night grows thin
And I was foolish
For letting you draw me in
ANd let you deflower me
Because my heart can no longer feel
How will I ever tell them?
All those who thought I was flawless?
A dress-up doll
Painted perfect to their liking
But no more
Forevermore
I will sit by the door
Listening for Gabriel's footsteps
To come back once again
The thing is, Gabriel
You have done an awful thing
And how will you stand judgement
With all those holes in your wings?
But I need you
Like an unholy beast needs dark
To let you devour me
Deflower me
Without putting up a fight
You are the only one
Who can tolerate the paint chipping from my fingernails
The weight that fails
To show my true beauty
Take me to the source of it all
Where your demons crawl
From orfices you didn't know you had
I want to see
All the places you hide
Because of selfish pride
So that I can clean up the mess
Every evil deserves someone to kiss
And someone to miss
Them deep into the night
Begging for a family with them
Begging for a life to share
Pain to spare
Fingers running through hair
Gabriel let me in
Into your nest I would crawl
Just let me fall
Just show me a little love
A little less ice
It's so nice
To see you again
Don't go
Just be here with me now
My Gabriel
For you Chris

Wow, excellent job! As a poet myself, I struggle with the ability to get rhymes to convey the meaning that I intend. So the fact you managed to get so much meaning packed in while keeping your rhyme, and using such POWERFUL images, is really impressive! You did a great job of showing the desire that we all need for love and affection, even from those who appear evil at first sight!

Once again, I'm definitely impressed! Good job!
